The skyline of Vancouver, British Columbia, has some complementary mountains in the background:
It’s best when the mountains have some snow on them, like they did for our March visit. Vancouver is a neat city with lots of fun thing to see and do. If you have a chance to visit, do it!

One of my most favorite vacation spots growing up was Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast:
This is Haystack Rock and the reasoning behind the name should be pretty obvious. When the tide is out, there are some great tidepools at the foot of the rock that always have starfishes and sea anemones to poke. It’s a fun place to visit rain or shine, which is good, because you never know what kind of weather you’ll get at the Oregon Coast.

Hopefully we’ll have a chance to go back again and see more than just the Fort Pitt area. Maybe we can see another baseball game too.

It was the very last professional soccer match played on the planet before the beginning of the 2010 World Cup. The Sounders had two straight wins against DC United going back to last season, and DC was the worst in the league. So this must-win game which was also a nationally televised game and an internationally significant game seemed like it would be a great time for the Sounders to really perform their best.
It was not to be.
