We’ve taken our fair share of pictures of Mt Rainier. It’s such a dramatic mountain, it can be hard to resist, especially on a sunny day!

This is the view of Rainier from the eastbound Edmonds-Kingston ferry as it crosses Puget Sound. The top of Seattle’s skyline can be seen just below the mountain. The cargo ship in the foreground is an interesting touch.

As many pictures that I’ve seen of Mt Rainer and as many times as I have seen it in person, I’m always amazed by this sort of picture. It looks SO HUGE, that it’s hard to believe that you can’t ALWAYS see it
