Photo of the Week: The Colonel’s House
Last weekend we stayed at Fort Casey State Park on Whidbey Island. In between walking on the beach, exploring the old fort and working on a 1000 piece puzzle, we took some pictures.
From Casey
This building used to be the Colonel’s House, when Fort Casey was a working army base. There are several nice houses like this (we stayed in one of them), along with old barracks, a lighthouse, and concrete artillery emplacements. It’s a great place to explore; you’ll always find something new no matter how many times you go. You can learn more about Fort Casey at the official state park website here.
